Davis County, Utah is a county of the United States of Utah. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 238994 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 295332, It is the third largest in terms of population. The county has a total area of 633.7 square miles (1641.28 square kilometre), of which, 304.48 square miles (788.6 square kilometre) of it is land and 329.22 square miles (852.68 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the second smallest by total area among Utah's county. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in Utah.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 238994 people, 71201 households, and 59273 families living in the county. The population density was 784.9 people per square mile (303.05/kmē), it is Utah's second most densely populated county. There were 74114 housing units at an average density of 243.4 per square mile (93.98/kmē). The average household size was 3.31 and the average family size was 3.67. In the Davis County, 35.1% of the population was under the age of 18, 12.2% were 18 to 24, 28.2% were 25 to 44, 17.1% were 45 to 64, and 7.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 100.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.5 males. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 295332, The racial makeup of the county was 94.07% White, 1.44% Black or African American, 0.65% American Indian, 1.73% Asian, 0.4% Native Hawaiian, and 1.72% from two or more races.
