Danville City is a city located in Boyle County, Kentucky, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 15477 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 15524, It is the 29th most populous in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The city has a total area of 15.8 miē (40.92 kmē), of which, 15.79 square miles (40.9 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 15th largest by total area among Kentucky.

As of the census of 2000, there were 15477 people, 6223 households, and 4015 families living in the city. The population density was 980.4 people per square mile (378.53/kmē), it is the 265th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Kentucky.
