Danville City is a city located in Vermilion County, Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 33904. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 32248, giving it the 52nd largest population among Illinois. Its area is just over 17.1 sq mi (44.29 kmē), of which, 17 square miles (44.03 kmē) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 kmē) of it is water, making it the 22nd largest by size in Illinois.
