Daniels County, Montana is a county of the United States of Montana. It is home to over 2017 people (2000 census). In July 2008, its estimated population was 1643, It is eighth least populous county in Montana. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1426.52 sq mi (3694.67 square kilometre), of which, 1426.09 square miles (3693.56 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.43 square miles (1.11 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the eighth smallest by total area in Montana.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2017 people, 892 households, and 561 families residing in the county. The population density was 1.4 people per square mile (0.54/kmē), giving it the 13th least densely populated county among the Montana. There were 1154 housing units at an average density of 0.8 per square mile (0.31/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.22 persons, and the average family size was 2.84 persons. In the Daniels County, 22.1% of the population was under the age of 18, 4.9% were 18 to 24, 20% were 25 to 44, 29.5% were 45 to 64, and 23.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.9 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1643, The racial makeup of the county was 95.62% White, 0.24% Black or African American, 1.77% American Indian, 0.43% Asian, 0.12% Native Hawaiian, and 1.83% from two or more races.
