Dallas County, Iowa is a county located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 40750. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 59930, making it the tenth most populous county in Iowa. The county encompasses an area of 591.73 sq mi (1532.57 square kilometre ), of which, 586.47 square miles (1518.95 square kilometre) of it is land and 5.26 square miles (13.62 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Iowa's 24th largest county by total area.
