Daggett County, Utah


Daggett County is a one of the county from Utah's 29 counties, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 921 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 938, making it Utah's smallest county. It is spread over 723.06 square miles (1872.72 sq km), of which, 698.36 square miles (1808.74 sq km ) of it is land and 24.71 square miles (64 sq km) of it is water, it is the fourth smallest by area in the U.S. state of Utah.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 921 people, 340 households, and 240 families residing in the county. The population density was 1.3 people per square mile (0.5/kmē), it is the third least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Utah. There were 1084 housing units at an average density of 1.6 per square mile (0.62/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.48 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons. In the county Age distribution was 23.2% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 27.4% from 25 to 44, 27% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 125.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 132.6 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 938, The racial makeup of the county was 96.7% White, 1.07% Black or African American, 0.96% American Indian, 0.11% Asian, 0.11% Native Hawaiian, and 1.07% from two or more races.
