Dade City City is a city located in the Pasco County, Florida, United States. As of 2000 the population was 6188. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 7223, It is the 370th largest by population in the U.S. state of Florida. It covers total area of 3.38 square miles (8.75 square kilometre), of which, 3.28 square miles (8.5 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 460th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6188 people in the city, organized into 2399 households, and 1462 families living in the city. The population density was 1885.3 people per square mile (727.92/kmē), giving it the 400th most densely populated city among the Florida.
