Cumberland City Town, Stewart County, Tennessee is a town located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 316 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the town is 327, making it the 35th least populous in Tennessee. The town comprises an area of 5.28 sq mi (13.68 sq km), of which, 4.81 square miles (12.46 sq km) of it is land and 0.47 square miles (1.22 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 168th largest by total area in Tennessee.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 316 residents, 5369 households, and 3232 families in the town. The population density was 65.6 people per square mile (25.33/kmē), giving it the sixth least densely populated town among the Tennessee. There were 178 housing units at an average density of 37 per square mile (14.29/kmē). The average household size was 2.27 people, and the average family size was 2.8 people. The population's age distribution was 22.5% under the age of 18, 10.1% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 21.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 91.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.5 males. The median age was 39.8 years, the median age of male residents at 38.3 and the median age of female residents at 42.5. The racial makeup of the town was 276 White, 25 Black or African American, American Indian, 2 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 6 from two or more races and 7 Ohter races.
