Culberson County is a county located in the United States of Texas. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Culberson County is home to 2975 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 2431, It is the 23rd least populous county in the U.S. state of Texas. The county extends throughout a territory of 3812.71 mi˛ (9874.87 sq km ), of which, 3812.46 square miles (9874.23 sq km) of it is land and 0.25 square miles (0.65 sq km) of it is water, makes it the fifth largest by total area in Texas.

The population density was 0.8 people per square mile (0.31/km˛), it is the sixth least populated county in terms of population density. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 32.2% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 23% from 45 to 64, and 11.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 102.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.1 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2431, The racial makeup of the county was 2359 White, 29 Black or African American, 14 American Indian, 19 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 10 from two or more races.
