As of July 2008, the estimated population was 5950, making it the 63rd most populous in Mississippi. The city extends throughout a territory of 5.44 sq mi (14.09 kmē ), of which, 5.38 square miles (13.93 kmē) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 kmē) of it is water, it is the 103rd largest in terms of geographical size.
