Crowley County is a one of the county from Colorado's 63 counties, located in Western Region (Mountain) of United States. Crowley County had an official population of 5518 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 6332, It is the 17th smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Colorado. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 800.33 square miles (2072.85 kmē), of which, 788.99 square miles (2043.47 kmē) of it is land and 11.34 square miles (29.37 kmē) of it is water, it is the 15th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Colorado. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in Colorado.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5518 people in the county, organized into 1358 households, and 958 families residing in the county. The population density was 7 people per square mile (2.7/kmē), giving it the 35th most densely populated county among the Colorado. There were 1542 housing units at an average density of 2 per square mile (0.77/kmē). The average household size was 2.59 people, and the average family size was 3.12 people. In the Crowley County, 18.8% of the population was under the age of 18, 9.9% were 18 to 24, 39.6% were 25 to 44, 20.8% were 45 to 64, and 10.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 205.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 240.9 males.
