Crosslake City is a one of the Crow Wing County, Minnesota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Crosslake City had an official population of 1893 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 2108, giving it the 246th largest population among Minnesota. It has total area of 36.93 sq mi (95.65 kmē), of which, 25.64 square miles (66.41 kmē) of it is land and 11.28 square miles (29.22 kmē) of it is water, making it the 17th largest by size in Minnesota. It is ranks second in the size of its inland waterways in Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1893 people, 899 households, and 624 families residing in the city. The population density was 73.8 people per square mile (28.49/kmē), it is Minnesota's 57th least densely populated city. There were 2477 housing units at an average density of 96.6 per square mile (37.3/kmē). The average household size was 2.11 and the average family size was 2.52. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 14.7% under the age of 18, 3.1% from 18 to 24, 18.9% from 25 to 44, 32% from 45 to 64, and 31.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 102 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.9 males.
