Crescent City City is one of the city of Putnam County, Florida, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Crescent City City is home to 1776 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1814, It is the 242nd least populous in the U.S. state of Florida. The city comprises an area of 2.14 mi˛ (5.54 square kilometre), of which, 1.83 square miles (4.74 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 585th largest by size in Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1776 people, 678 households, and 435 families residing in the city. The population density was 968.6 people per square mile (373.98/km˛), making its Florida's 292nd least densely populated city. There were 846 housing units at an average density of 462.3 per square mile (178.5/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.49 persons, and the average family size was 3.12 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 27.4% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 21.6% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 22.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 115.8 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 122.2 females. The median age of the city's population was 39.6 years, the median age of male residents at 36.9 and the median age of female residents at 41. The racial makeup of the city was 1018 White, 612 Black or African American, 7 American Indian, 13 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 24 from two or more races and 102 Ohter races.
