Crawford County is a United States county located in the United States of Pennsylvania. In 2000, the population was 90366. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 88411, making it Pennsylvania's 34th largest county. The county spans an area of 1037.74 sq mi (2687.73 square kilometre), of which, 1012.72 square miles (2622.93 square kilometre) of it is land and 25.01 square miles (64.78 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the ninth largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks fourth in the size of its inland waterways in Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 90366 people in the county, organized into 34678 households, and 23871 families residing in the county. The population density was 89.2 people per square mile (34.44/kmē), making it the 42nd most densely populated county in Pennsylvania. There were 42416 housing units at an average density of 41.9 per square mile (16.18/kmē). The average household size was 2.5 people, and the average family size was 3.01 people. In the county Age distribution was 24.7% under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 23.9% from 45 to 64, and 15.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 105.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 110.2 females. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 88411, The racial makeup of the county was 85400 White, 1736 Black or African American, 214 American Indian, 304 Asian, 27 Native Hawaiian, and 730 from two or more races.
