Crawford County is one of the 115 county of Missouri, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of the county was 22804 as per the 2000 census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 23970, It is the 47th most populous county in the U.S. state of Missouri. The county extends throughout a territory of 743.79 sq mi (1926.41 sq km ), of which, 742.52 square miles (1923.12 sq km) of it is land and 1.27 square miles (3.29 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 24th largest by total area in Missouri.
