Craig County, Virginia

Craig County is one of the 135 county of Virginia, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. It is home to over 5091 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 5087, It is Virginia's fifth least populous county. The county spans an area of 330.61 miē (856.28 kmē), it is the 64th largest in terms of geographical size.

The population density was 15.4 people per square mile (5.95/kmē), making its Virginia's third least densely populated county. In the county the population was spread out, with 23.6% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 29.7% from 25 to 44, 26.7% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 103.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.5 males.
