Courtland Town is a town in the Lawrence County, Alabama, United States. The population of the town was 769 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 764, It is the 310th most populous in the U.S. state of Alabama. It has total area of 2.33 sq mi (6.03 square kilometre), of which, 2.32 square miles (6.01 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 131st smallest by total area among Alabama.

As of the census of 2000, there were 769 residents, 316 households, and 210 families in the town. The population density was 331.2 people per square mile (127.88/kmē), it is Alabama's 223rd most densely populated town.
