Cottonwood Town is a United States town located in the Houston County, Alabama, United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 1170 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 1202, It is 263rd most populous in Alabama. It is spread over 5.51 mi˛ (14.27 sq km), of which, 5.5 square miles (14.24 sq km ) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, making it the 226th largest by size in Alabama.
