Costa Mesa City is a city in the Orange County, California, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 108724 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 110080, It is the 49th largest by population in the U.S. state of California. It is spread over 15.69 square miles (40.64 square kilometre), of which, 15.63 square miles (40.48 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 square kilometre) of it is water, making it California's 211th largest by total area.
