Corson County, South Dakota is a county of the United States of South Dakota. The population of county in 2000 stood at 4181 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 4136, giving it the 39th largest population among South Dakota's county. The county comprises an area of 2529.42 sq mi (6551.17 kmē), of which, 2472.93 square miles (6404.86 kmē) of it is land and 56.48 square miles (146.28 kmē) of it is water, it is the fifth largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in South Dakota.

The population density was 1.7 people per square mile (0.66/kmē), it is South Dakota's ninth least densely populated county. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.8 males.
