The July 2008 population estimate is 20773, It is the 189th most populous in the U.S. state of Texas. It is spread over 7.9 mi˛ (20.46 square kilometre), of which, 7.86 square miles (20.36 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 284th largest in terms of geographical size.
