Cordova City is a United States city located in the Valdez-Cordova Census Area, Alaska, United States. In 2000, the population was 2454. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 2242, It is Alaska's 33rd largest by population . According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 75.64 miē (195.91 kmē), of which, 61.36 square miles (158.92 kmē) of it is land and 14.27 square miles (36.96 kmē) of it is water, it is the 82nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Alaska.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 2454 people, 958 households, and 598 families residing in the city. The population density was 40 people per square mile (15.44/kmē), it is the 112th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Alaska.
