Coppell City is a one of the Dallas and Denton counties, Texas, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of the city was 35958 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 39154, It is 67th most populous in Texas. Its area is just over 14.89 sq mi (38.56 sq km), of which, 14.87 square miles (38.51 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, making it Texas's 164th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 35958 people in the city, organized into 12211 households, and 9787 families living in the city.
