Coosada Town is one of the town of Elmore County, Alabama, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1382 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1649, making it the 240th most populous in Alabama. It has total area of 7.22 mi˛ (18.7 sq km), of which, 7.05 square miles (18.26 sq km) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 187th largest by total area among Alabama.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1382 residents, 472 households, and 370 families in the town. The population density was 196.1 people per square mile (75.71/km˛), making its Alabama's 151st least densely populated town.
