Coos County is a one of the county from Oregon's 36 counties, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, the population was 62779. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 63453, giving it the 16th largest population among Oregon's county. It is spread over 1806.38 miē (4678.5 kmē), of which, 1600.48 square miles (4145.22 kmē ) of it is land and 205.9 square miles (533.28 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 20th largest by total area among Oregon's county. It is ranks sixth in the size of its inland waterways in Oregon.

The population density was 39.2 people per square mile (15.14/kmē), it would be the 15th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Oregon.
