As of July 2008, the estimated population was 29422, It is the 98th most populous in the U.S. state of Florida. It covers total area of 6.7 miē (17.35 kmē), of which, 6.35 square miles (16.45 kmē) of it is land and 0.35 square miles (0.91 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 270th largest by total area among Florida.
