Conway County, Arkansas is a county located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The population of the county was 20336 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 20755, It is Arkansas's 36th most populous county. The county extends throughout a territory of 566.66 mi˛ (1467.64 sq km ), of which, 556.15 square miles (1440.42 sq km) of it is land and 10.51 square miles (27.22 sq km) of it is water, making it Arkansas's fifth smallest county by total area.

For every 100 males there were 106 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 109.3 females. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 20755, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 17859 White, 2464 Black or African American, 121 American Indian, 49 Asian, 8 Native Hawaiian, and 254 from two or more races.
