Conway City is a city in the Horry County, South Carolina, United States. The city has a population of 11788 as per the 2000 census data. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 15894, It is 38th most populous in South Carolina. The city has a total area of 13.39 sq mi (34.68 square kilometre), of which, 12.71 square miles (32.92 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.68 square miles (1.76 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 29th largest by total area in South Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 11788 people in the city, organized into 4259 households, and 2943 families residing in the city. The population density was 927.8 people per square mile (358.23/kmē), it is South Carolina's 136th most densely populated city.
