Compton City is a one of the Los Angeles County, California, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, the population was 93493. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 93851, It is the 63rd most populous in the U.S. state of California. The city extends throughout a territory of 10.2 sq mi (26.42 sq km ), of which, 10.13 square miles (26.24 sq km) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 324th largest by total area in California.
