Comal County is a county located in the United States of Texas. As of 2000 the population was 78021. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 109635, It is the 37th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 574.59 square miles (1488.18 kmē), of which, 561.45 square miles (1454.15 kmē) of it is land and 13.15 square miles (34.06 kmē) of it is water, making it Texas's 17th smallest county by total area.

The population density was 139 people per square mile (53.67/kmē), it is the 29th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Texas.
