Columbus City is a city located in the Columbia and Dodge counties, Wisconsin, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 4479 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 5093, It is 137th most populous in Wisconsin. The city comprises an area of 4 sq mi (10.36 kmē), of which, 3.99 square miles (10.33 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 165th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4479 people in the city, organized into 76 households, and 48 families residing in the city. The population density was 1122.7 people per square mile (433.48/kmē), making it the 212th most densely populated city in Wisconsin. There were 1927 housing units at an average density of 483 per square mile (186.49/kmē). The average household size was 2.37 people, and the average family size was 2.98 people.
