Columbus City, Delaware, Fairfield and Franklin counties, Ohio is a city located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 711470. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 754885, It is the largest by population in the U.S. state of Ohio. It has total area of 212.55 miē (550.5 kmē), of which, 210.27 square miles (544.6 kmē) of it is land and 2.28 square miles (5.91 kmē) of it is water, it is the largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in Ohio.

As of the census of 2000, there were 711470 people in the city, organized into 301534 households, and 165380 families living in the city. The population density was 3383.6 people per square mile (1306.42/kmē), making it the 71st most densely populated city in Ohio.
