Columbia Heights City is a city located in Anoka County, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The city has a population of 18520 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 18210, It is the 48th largest by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The city comprises an area of 3.55 mi˛ (9.19 sq km), of which, 3.45 square miles (8.94 sq km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 sq km) of it is water, it is the 204th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 18520 people in the city, organized into 8033 households, and 4733 families living in the city. The population density was 5368.7 people per square mile (2072.87/km˛), it is the sixth most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
