Columbia Borough is one of the borough of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Columbia Borough is home to 10311 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 10033 in July 2008, making it Pennsylvania's 101st largest. Its area is just over 2.67 square miles (6.92 kmē), of which, 2.44 square miles (6.32 kmē) of it is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 kmē) of it is water, making it the 254th largest by size in Pennsylvania.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 10311 residents, 4287 households, and 2590 families in the borough. The population density was 4227.8 people per square mile (1632.36/kmē), making it the 214th most densely populated borough in Pennsylvania. In the borough the population was spread out, with 24.3% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 20.5% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 89.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.5 males. The median age of the borough's population was 36.8 years, The median age of males and females living in Columbia Borough was 35.2 and 38.6 years respectively. The racial makeup of the borough was 9418 White, 456 Black or African American, 19 American Indian, 42 Asian, 5 Native Hawaiian, 196 from two or more races and 175 Ohter races.
