College Place City is a one of the Walla Walla County, Washington, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, the population was 7818. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 8978, making it the 125th most populous in Washington. It has total area of 2.42 square miles (6.27 square kilometre), it is the 297th largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.

As of the census of 2000, there were 7818 people, 2909 households, and 1870 families residing in the city. The population density was 3232.2 people per square mile (1247.96/kmē), it is the 47th most populated city in terms of population density. There were 3134 housing units at an average density of 1295 per square mile (500/kmē). The average household size was 2.36 persons, and the average family size was 2.93 persons.
