The census designated place comprises an area of 18.73 square miles (48.51 sq km), of which, 17.1 square miles (44.29 sq km) of it is land and 1.63 square miles (4.22 sq km) of it is water, making it the 36th largest by size in Nevada. It is ranks fifth in the size of its inland waterways in Nevada.
