Coffee County is a county in the United States of Alabama. Coffee County had an official population of 43615 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 47753, It is the 28th largest county by population in the U.S. state of Alabama. The county spans an area of 680.48 sq mi (1762.44 kmē), of which, 678.99 square miles (1758.58 kmē) of it is land and 1.49 square miles (3.86 kmē) of it is water, it is the 34th largest in terms of geographical size.
