Coatesville City is a city in the Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population of the city was 10838 as per the 2000 census data. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 11624, giving it the 94th largest population among Pennsylvania. Its area is just over 1.87 mi˛ (4.84 sq km), of which, 1.85 square miles (4.79 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, it is the 408th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
