Clover Town is a one of the York County, South Carolina, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 4014 inhabitants. The town's estimated population as of July 2008 was 4916, It is the 102nd most populous in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It covers total area of 2.81 mi˛ (7.28 sq km), of which, 2.8 square miles (7.25 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 209th largest by total area among South Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4014 people in the town, organized into 1517 households, and 1100 families residing in the town. The population density was 1433.5 people per square mile (553.48/km˛), it is 57th most densely populated town in South Carolina. There were 1635 housing units at an average density of 583.9 per square mile (225.45/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.64 persons, and the average family size was 3.12 persons. In the town the population was spread out, with 28.9% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 29.7% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 12.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 110.4 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 117.5 females. The median age was 34.2 years, The median age of males was 32.1 years, for females the median age was 35.8 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the town was 75.96% White, 21.03% Black or African American, 0.27% American Indian, 0.45% Asian, 0.07% Native Hawaiian, 0.92% from two or more races and 1.3% Other races.
