The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1402, making it the 565th most populous in Ohio. The city encompasses an area of 3.64 sq mi (9.43 sq km ), of which, 3.55 square miles (9.19 sq km) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 sq km) of it is water, it is the 279th largest by area in the U.S. state of Ohio.
