The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 8768, It is 44th most populous in Oklahoma. The city comprises an area of 8.95 square miles (23.18 kmē), of which, 8.93 square miles (23.13 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 119th largest by total area in Oklahoma.
