Clifton City, Wayne County, Tennessee is a city located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2699. In July 2008, its estimated population was 2694, It is the 148th most populous in the U.S. state of Tennessee. The city encompasses an area of 6.97 sq mi (18.05 square kilometre ), of which, 6.42 square miles (16.63 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.54 square miles (1.4 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 126th largest in terms of geographical size.
