Clermont City is a city in the Lake County, Florida, United States. The city has a population of 9333 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 13100, It is the 285th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 11.47 mi˛ (29.71 square kilometre), of which, 10.49 square miles (27.17 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.98 square miles (2.54 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 157th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9333 residents, 3995 households, and 2737 families in the city. The population density was 890.1 people per square mile (343.67/km˛), making it the 269th least densely populated city in Florida. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 83.5% White, 12.08% Black or African American, 0.48% American Indian, 0.89% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, 1.49% from two or more races and 1.55% Other races.
