Clermont City is a city in the Lake County, Florida, United States. The city has a population of 9333 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 13100, It is the 285th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 11.47 mi˛ (29.71 square kilometre), of which, 10.49 square miles (27.17 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.98 square miles (2.54 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 157th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9333 residents, 3995 households, and 2737 families in the city. The population density was 890.1 people per square mile (343.67/km˛), making it the 269th least densely populated city in Florida. There were 4368 housing units at an average density of 416.4 per square mile (160.77/km˛). The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.73. In the city Age distribution was 20.1% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 24% from 25 to 44, 24.7% from 45 to 64, and 24.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 111.2 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 117 females. The median age was 44.7 years, the median age of male residents at 42.3 and the median age of female residents at 47.4. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 83.5% White, 12.08% Black or African American, 0.48% American Indian, 0.89% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, 1.49% from two or more races and 1.55% Other races.
