The July 2008 population estimate is 1042, making it the 140th most populous in West Virginia. The town has a total area of 1.39 square miles (3.6 kmē), of which, 1.33 square miles (3.44 kmē) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 117th largest by total area among West Virginia.
