Cleburne County is a United States county located in the United States of Arkansas. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 24046 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 25397, giving it the 26th largest population among Arkansas's county. The county spans an area of 591.91 square miles (1533.04 square kilometre), of which, 553.05 square miles (1432.39 square kilometre) of it is land and 38.86 square miles (100.65 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 11th smallest by total area among Arkansas's county. It is ranks sixth in the size of its inland waterways in Arkansas.


As of the census of 2000, there were 24046 people in the county, organized into 10190 households, and 7405 families residing in the county. The population density was 43.5 people per square mile (16.8/kmē), it is Arkansas's 24th most densely populated county. There were 13732 housing units at an average density of 24.8 per square mile (9.58/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.33 persons, and the average family size was 2.74 persons. In the county Population was distributed with 21.3% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 24.1% from 25 to 44, 26.9% from 45 to 64, and 21.1% who were 65 or older.
