Clearfield County is a county located in the United States of Pennsylvania. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 83382 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 82896, It is 36th most populous county in Pennsylvania. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1153.8 square miles (2988.33 sq km), of which, 1147.32 square miles (2971.55 sq km) of it is land and 6.49 square miles (16.81 sq km) of it is water, making it the fourth largest by size in Pennsylvania.

Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 82896, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 95.84% White, 3.12% Black or African American, 0.14% American Indian, 0.39% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 0.48% from two or more races.
