Clear Creek County is a county in the United States of Colorado. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 9322 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 8908, making it the 39th most populous county in Colorado. Its area is just over 396.46 square miles (1026.83 kmē), of which, 395.45 square miles (1024.21 kmē) of it is land and 1.01 square miles (2.62 kmē) of it is water, giving it the fifth smallest by total area among Colorado's county.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9322 people in the county, organized into 4019 households, and 2608 families residing in the county. The population density was 23.6 people per square mile (9.11/kmē), it is the 19th most populated county in terms of population density. There were 5128 housing units at an average density of 13 per square mile (5.02/kmē). The average household size was 2.31 persons, and the average family size was 2.81 persons. In the county Age distribution was 22.6% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 32.6% from 25 to 44, 32.2% from 45 to 64, and 7.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 108.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 110.2 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 8908, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 8491 White, 91 Black or African American, 90 American Indian, 72 Asian, 4 Native Hawaiian, and 160 from two or more races.
