Clayton Town is a one of the Johnston County, North Carolina, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 6973. In July 2008, its estimated population was 15841, It is North Carolina's 94th largest by population . It is spread over 5.4 miē (13.99 kmē), it is the 161st largest by area in the U.S. state of North Carolina.
