Clayton Town, Delaware is a town of the Kent and New Castle counties, Delaware, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1273 inhabitants. The town's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1481, It is the 41st largest by population in the U.S. state of Delaware. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.02 sq mi (2.64 sq km), makes it the 39th largest by total area in Delaware.
