Clayton City is a city located in the Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. As of 2000 the population was 13347. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 12906, It is Ohio's 132nd largest by population . The city extends throughout a territory of 18.56 square miles (48.07 square kilometre ), of which, 18.44 square miles (47.76 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 42nd largest by total area among Ohio.
